"uSURG 2023,” uniting SURGeons Globally 2023, is a surgical conference taking place on March 3rd-5th 2023 by the IFMSA-Poland Warsaw Local Committee.

"uSURG 2023” is the first edition of this type of conference at our university. Its aim is to unite surgeons worldwide, allowing experienced surgeons to share their knowledge from various specialities to aspiring future surgeons. We want to emphasize how important international cooperation in the field of surgery is within the aspects of practical skills, lectures from renowned surgeons, and research.

The target recipients are students of the Medical Faculty of the Medical University of Warsaw and other medical universities worldwide. Students will be given the opportunity to present their own research in the form of an oral or poster presentation in front of a board of jury members. The “Surgeons Worldwide” portion of our conference will showcase in-person and online talks from experienced surgeons in different surgical fields all around the world. Workshops by club organizations on campus will be facilitated for students to gain knowledge in not only theory but also practical application.

 

We strive for an interdisciplinary, diverse approach and hope that students will excel in their surgical knowledge, as well as become more passionate about surgery through uSURG 2023.
